Kathy Taylor
Kathy Taylor is a veteran women’s lacrosse coach and educator with more than three decades of experience leading competitive programs and mentoring student-athletes at the high school and collegiate levels. Over the course of her career, she coached at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, SUNY Cortland, Le Moyne College, and Colgate University, working across Division I, Division II, and Division III athletics. Her roles consistently involved program building, recruiting, athlete development, and guiding teams through conference competition and postseason play.
At each institution, Taylor was known for establishing clear expectations and structured environments centered on preparation, accountability, and consistency. Former players frequently describe her coaching style as direct and demanding, with an emphasis on effort, discipline, and personal responsibility. Many credit her with developing leadership skills and resilience that extended beyond lacrosse into careers in coaching, education, healthcare, the military, and professional leadership.
In addition to on-field coaching, Kathy Taylor’s work included program administration, collaboration with athletic departments, and coordination with sports medicine and athletic training staff to support student-athlete health and safety within established medical protocols. Her career also included national service roles within the lacrosse community, contributing to the advancement of women’s athletics and coaching standards at the collegiate level.
