I'm an Early Years Professional (EYP) and Trainer based in East Cheshire, UK, married to long suffering Ian and blessed with two wonderful children, Chris and Robs.

I've worked in Nursery settings, as well as schools, and knows what it feels like to be under pressure to deliver the best care and education for children, whilst juggling the daily necessities. However, I'm enthusiatic that this is not only possible, but is essential, in order to raise the quality of provision that this country gives to its children in their early years.

I'm a regular contributor to Nursery World as well as a mentor, supporting students on the EYPS course delivered by the North West Early Years Transformation Group (Chester, Liverpool Hope and Cumbria Universities); tutoring on the Early Childhood Studies Degree course at the University of Chester and tutoring on the Foundation Degree Course at Stockport College.
