After overseeing the day to day management of five cupcake shops across Western Washington, I returned home to Wisconsin and opened The Sweet Life Bakery Boutique. I really enjoy the variety each day brings as a small business owner - one day I'm managing finances, the next day I'm working on marketing materials, and on the weekends I am usually knee deep in cupcake batter. It's hard work, but I have learned so much.
My time in Washington and Wisconsin instilled a desire to learn more about marketing and management in order to transition into a career in brand and product management. I began exploring the MBA and was quickly drawn to the McCombs program and the Austin community. I believe this program is the best fit for me and my career, and I am excited to learn from a diverse group of students.
