As a designer, I appreciate a dichotomy of design. I like clean lines on rough textures, high contrast with minimal color variation, elegant gilding and bright complementary colors, black and white simplicity with tons of texture, couture punk, post-apocalyptic romance. I like corporate rebellion, industrial chic. I like the digital creation of analog techniques (recreating screen printing, foiling, engraving and embossing), in addition to the analog creations and techniques themselves. "Sleek yet pleasingly imperfect" would be how I hope I'm described as a designer someday.My dream is to work for a small, sleek graphic design firm with a large corporate presence in the Pacific Northwest, where every day is a chance to work with creative individuals invested in making the world a better place through graphic design.
