Katie Schwartz

I have spent the entirety of my 24 years growing up in Vancouver, WA where I still reside today and hope to be for the rest of my life.

It didn’t take me a long time to realize my passions. As a little girl, I spent time with my face in books and my pencil to paper. I knew that reading took me to another world and that I reveled in it. I knew that writing helped me express what I couldn’t verbally put into words. No one seemed to understand how much I loved to read and write, and I was quickly assumed to be isolated, unrealistic, and introverted. Some or all of those may be true, but I know my passions and I’ll always be dedicated to them.

I'm an avid lifestyle-health-travel blogger, and love to find new things to write about! In 2015, I found something new in the form of a study abroad program called Semester at Sea. I was able to experience thirteen countries over one hundred days. It was absolutely enlightening and an experience I will carry with me forever. I learned so many things about myself that I didn't expect. I gained new material for my blog, and I started to write a lot more. While abroad, I began writing my first book. I hope to write many books in the future, and being a full time author is my main goal for the future.

While I'm busy cruising towards my goal, you can find me blogging, listening to the rain, sippin' on some hazelnut cinnamon coffee, and/or reading a good book (or a bad one).
