Katie Stafford

I was born to be a publicist, and I have many stories I could tell about being an event promoter at age 5, being a spokesperson at age 8, and being a public speaker at age 15. But for now, you're probably most interested to learn what I've been doing throughout my professional career. (We'll save the storytelling for later...)

For the past ten years, I have helped build the reputation of industries, companies, brands and a variety of individuals.

Initially companies that cared about bringing tourists to Lancaster County Pennsylvania, such as Strasburg Rail Road and Willow Valley Resorts.

Then companies that cared about things like energy and environmental solutions, such as Danfoss, Johnson Controls, ARCADIS and WaterFurnace Renewable Energy.

Then companies that cared about making beautiful shoes and clothing, such as Gaby Basora, Steve Madden and Jones Group Inc (including Nine West, Jones New York, Robert Rodriquez and Rachel Roy).

And at the same time, for people who cared about using their celebrity status to help other people, such as the fashion photographer Nigel Barker, the academy award winning actress Hilary Swank, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Currently I am building the reputation of a global brand that is focused on bringing smarter transportation solutions to urban areas.

I hold a Master of Arts in Global Marketing Communications & Branding from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications & Public Relations from Elizabethtown College.

I have served as a guest lecturer at several universities, and I have assisted in the development of new college curriculums in public relations and e-communications. I have also published a book chapter on digital communications and I have contributed to several lifetstyle magazine articles.
