I had always dreamed of going travelling, doing the 'gap-yaaar' thing but never had the guts to fully go through with it. Then, in 2012 I'd had enough of the daily grind and decided that it was now or never. Maybe it was a mid-mid-life crisis but I'm so glad I did it! I sold my car, moved back home, sold my clothes (yes, you'd be suprised how much I got for my old garments!) and scrimped and saved until I had enough savings to take me away.
In December 2012 I flew from London Heathrow and arrived 2 days later (it was a cheap flight) in Sydney, Australia. I haven't looked back since, the travel bug has got me in its grips and I have many more trips planned.
