My name is Katie and I'm a senior broadcast/video production major at Barton College, in Wilson, North Carolina. Ever since I was younger I have loved sports. I grew up with a father who coached college baseball, so baseball is my favorite sport! After watching a few segments of Erin Andrews sideline reporting, I knew that I wanted my major in college to be broadcasting. Throughout my four years of college I have been blessed with opportunities. I have started the first ever Barton College sports show. I have also begun the first play-by-play/color commentary of Barton College athletic events. During my junior year I was offered a position to color commentate three independent school volleyball state championships with Time Warner Cable-an experience of a lifetime! Lastly, before entering my senior year of college I was offered an internship with NBC-17 in Raleigh! I have made many connections throughout my college career, but it is now time to find a job!
