Katie A.T. O'Shaughnessy

Hi there, I'm Katie. I believe that you need to know a few things about a person in a personal sense in order to really have a feel for them. That being said, before anyone knows a thing about me professionally, I want you all to know a few things personally. I grew up in a small town in Minnesota. I was homeschooled, but please do not stereotype me. I love to laugh, and will laugh until I cry any chance I get. Networking is important to me, and I love having a big circle of friends - but when it comes down to it, I am all about close-knit groups. I believe in hard work in all aspects of life: friendships, marriage, work, even DIY projects. I know all of these personal facts feed directly into who I am professionally, this is why I share them first. Professionally, I have a degree in Journalism with minors in Radio Broadcasting, PR and Youth Ministry from Northwestern College. I currently work for the YMCA as a Site Director with School-Aged Child Care. The Y has provided a lot of experience, but i would really love to explore a field that is more fitting for my education, background and passions. I also am working on starting up an Etsy that will sell quality crocheted items. It is my dream to work as a communications specialist or social media marketing some day, but the right opportunity has not come around yet for me to follow that dream. However, I am actively seeking it out.
