Growing up in a military family and living all over the country, Katie developed a gypsy spirit and a longing to travel and explore. From the desert trails of Nevada, to the sandy beaches of Florida, Katie has seen the vast majority of this beautiful country and is now currently residing in the culturally rich city of New Orleans.

From an early age, Katie has always had a love and respect for music and a desire to share her passions with people. After high school, Katie decided to attend the University of West Florida where she obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Social Work. It was there where Katie's desire to work with people was cultivated.

Deciding to continue her education, Katie headed east and began attending the University of South Alabama. There she earned a Bachelors of Music concentrating in Vocal Performance. While performing and entertaining are one of Katie's favorite things, she discovered her passion and drive was for community outreach and arts education.

Upon moving to New Orleans, Katie started working for the University of New Orleans as an Admissions Counselor and Recruiter. Katie graduated in December 2015 with her Masters of Arts in Arts Administration. A lifelong learner, Katie is excited about becoming a professional arts advocate and working with young artists who are passionate about bettering this world through art.

After completing her Masters, Katie worked at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans where she contributed to the capital expansion of the national ranked museum.

Starting the Fall of 2016, Katie is shifting back to the higher education realm and will be working at Loyola University in the ever growing Film and Music Industry Studies department.
