I am an academic advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Center at the University of Kansas. I'm a native Iowan and received a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!), then relocated to Kansas to earn a master's degree in Higher Education Administration here at KU. Because teaching was my first love, I quickly found a way to incorporate it into my day to day job. In the fall, you can find me teaching the UNIV 101 component of one of KU's non-residential Learning Communities.

As a college student myself, I was an active member of the campus community. Outside of the classroom, I was involved in various student organizations focusing on recruitment and welcoming new students to the university, as well as the U of I's Dance Marathon organization.

When I'm not in my office or somewhere around campus, you can generally find me in the record store (Love Garden), reading a good book, hanging out with my cat, Lu, or listening to some rad tunes.
