Katie Brandt

I am a Graphic designer out of Detroit, Michigan. I pull a lot of my inspiration from my life experiences living in Detroit. I was heavily influenced by the amazing underground culture that such a distressed city has to offer. There is an energy and passion in there that could inspire anyone. Detroit is a city of people who know how to fight for what they believe in and I have taken that quality with me in my design career.

I am currently living in Miami, Florida and attending Miami Ad School for Art Direction. Coming to Miami has propelled my design forward. I have learned how to work with a lot of different kinds of people and with them to grow and expand our ideas past what I could have done alone. I have learned how to give critique and really pick out what is good about design. But more importantly, I have learned how to take critique and adjust my ideas to make them bigger and better.

Jack Kerouac once said "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live. mad to talk, mad to be saved, desrious of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say commonplace things, but burn like fabulous roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue center light pop and everybody goes 'AWWW!' This is how I try and live my everyday.
