Katie Briggs is a (Nebraska-grown) web designer at Houston Public Media.

Briggs' current and former design experience includes 42, Double Triple, One Percent Productions, the University of Nebraska Press, the Daily Nebraskan, the Bourbon Theatre and various freelance assignments. She's also worked as an adjunct instructor at Southeast Community College, teaching color theory and corporate identity. Briggs received her Bachelors of Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2011.

Briggs' favorite design-related things include design for iOS and other small spaces, patterns, print media layout, color palettes and collaging. She also enjoys following political news, collecting gifs, and trying new recipes.
