Artist and Prosthetist/Orthotist in Texas
I've always had an interest in drawing and painting since childhood. Born and raised in Clifton, Texas, a small community with big art influence, I've been impacted by art all my life.
My interest in art and desire to help people in need led me to my profession in orthotics and prosthetics, where I have an outlet to create art in designing and fabricating braces and prosthetic limbs for people. This profession has also led me to an opportunity to do mission work where I have had the privilege to serve as a board member and volunteer prosthetist/orthotist with Prosthetic Promises In His Name, a non-profit focused in providing prosthetic services in Zambia, Africa.
I'm a Prosthetist/Orthotist by day---Artist by nights and weekends, as I continue to develop my drawing and painting outside of the 8-5 work week.
I work mostly in acrylic painting on a small scale, though I enjoy working in other mediums such as mixed media, colored pencil, watercolor and pastel. I have also completed several murals, both indoor and outdoor, which is my outlet to work on a large scale. Murals I have completed for public viewing are at the Senior Center in the town square in Valley View, Texas, at Art Alley in Clifton, Texas and in the Denton Animal Shelter in Denton, Texas.
I seek to impact those around me, reflecting the love of Jesus, through all that I do.
