As the Undergraduate Marketing Manager, Katie Drews is responsible for leading marketing and communications efforts in support of undergraduate enrollment. She is also responsible for developing retention strategies for undergraduate student populations, including attracting/retaining high achieving first-year and transfer students. Working closely with Undergraduate Admission, Financial Aid, and Marketing, Katie ensures Hamline is making data-driven decisions regarding undergraduate enrollment efforts through analysis of awareness rates, enrollment and inquiry data, demographics, and other key marketing metrics to inform strategy.
As the Team Project Lead, Katie also coordinates, assigns, and tracks deliverables and oversee work flow for the Strategic Communications team. She manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and leads various project status meetings to establish a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, and expectations. Working collaboratively with colleagues in Strategic Communications and Marketing, Katie ensures department resources are always focused on Hamline's highest priority initiatives and that those initiatives are delivered on time and on budget. Katie also establishes and manages relationships with preferred print, video, and web vendors and coordinates projects undertaken by vendors.
