The world of colour, form, and movement, have intrigued Katie Grant from the moment she was encouraged to step into a basin of paint in pre-school, and enheartened to leave her footprints staggered across a long sheet of brown paper. She remembered feeling the thick, liquid squish between her toes, in hailing the faint fragrance of chemical plastic, and then animating her body in an excited dash. If this were a story, a story with a narrator, that narrator would tell you, here is where her life’s turning point happened. This is when she knew she enjoyed creating, being messy with, and without purpose, studying how paint dripped through her fingers, and how hard it was to hang onto, much like water, but not quite.
