Katie Lacz
Mother, Writer, and Volunteer in Louisville, Colorado
I am currently a stay-at-home parent to my young son, and do freelance work on the side related to my experience in Catholic ministry and interests in social justice and Catholic Social Teaching.
Before that, I worked as a program coordinator with the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers, an organization that engages young adults in a year-long program in which they accompany people who are poor in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul.
I graduated with my Master of Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley in May 2012. I have worked as a hospital chaplain, a campus minister, a community organizer against the death penalty, and a journalist. I serve on the board of Mary's Pence (www.maryspence.org), an organization that empowers women through small grants throughout the Americas and community lending pools in Central America.
