I recently graduated from Full Sail University with my Masters in Entertainment Business. While enrolled, I participated in various activities and internships that allowed me get my feet wet in the industry. During my undergrad and graduate studies, I interned at EMA Public Relations under my mentor and the company advisor, Angie Ema Duerelle. I also interned briefly with Morphius Records and Distribution in Baltimore, MD to assist in their marketing and publicity campaign for their event, the Baltimore Independent Music and Arts Festival.

During my internship at EMA I was involved in all stages of the publicity campaigns to promote tours for our clients The Supervillains, Ballyhoo!, and Mike Pinto. While working with Angie at EMA, I developed a passion for working in publicity. I found that the work is very schedule driven, which is a huge motivator for a type-A personality like myself. At the same time it is multi-faceted enough to allow for creative outlets in writing press releases and developing new PR strategies for social media, amongst other things.

I’ve learned a great deal about the industry and managing a small business through my experiences at EMA and Morphius. My positive attitude and indelible work ethic make me a force to be reckoned with. I am able to manage the responsibility of multiple roles and keep projects organized and on schedule. Between my internship experience and academic experience, I feel more than prepared to enter the workforce and cut my teeth in the professional arena.
