Hi there! I hope you’re well.

I’m currently a Corporate Event Coordinator, working with some awesome multinational companies on some really cool events for our guests.

After completing my degrees - I hold a Human Rights Law postgraduate degree and an undergraduate degree in Philosophy - I moved into Corporate Events at Center Parcs. I took an area of my university study and turned it into a career I love! Whilst at university I worked on a number of event projects. I co-founded and acted as Event Secretary and Event Coordinator for BlogSoc (the university blogging society), I acted as Secretary and Lead Coordinator for the Event, Marketing and Ticketing team for the Postgraduate Law Ball - a large scale event for postgraduate students in the Law Department.

I acted as Resident Tutor during my postgraduate studies, acting as evening/night first-port-of-call and pastoral care for day-to-day issues. During my undergraduate degree I acted as course mentor, looking after first-year students and offering course related advice and skills sessions. In addition to this, I sat my second black belt grading during my final year of undergraduate study.

I have experience in social media and blogging - writing a blog throughout sixth form and university, and working on it full-time after university - team management, visual presentation, event management, coordination and planning.

Whilst I have decided not to pursue a career in law or academia, I use the skills I learned throughout my studies on a daily basis. From directly benefiting from my legal experience whilst dealing with event contracts, to problem-solving and analysis or even presenting the information required to communicate an event effectively. Throughout my degree I learned how to manage my time most effectively, stick to tight deadlines and think outside the box to achieve the best and most innovative answer possible. I am still using all of these skills in my career today.
