Katie Newsom

I am an ambitious, energetic, and dynamic work-a-holic Navy Supply Corps Officer. I am life long Christian (not in the traditional sense), philanthropist, and an avid sports enthusiast. I was born and raised in the suburbs of San Diego, and graduated from the University of Georgia. I am also a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, even though I have never been to Green Bay. Go figure.

I have lofty aspirations to attend Stanford University where I intend to pursue a MBA program while still in the Navy. Through the connections and vital skills acquired through an elite MBA program in conjunction with my already finely tuned business acumen, I plan to start a foundation to benefit victims of child abuse that promotes healing, healthy living, and fostering supportive environments.

My passion in life is to make the lives of others better by utilizing the resources and talents that I have been blessed with. I fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves. It is just what I do, and always have done. I challenge myself to focus on making big things happen and trying not to sweat that which does not matter. I am constantly striving to improve myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. A positive attitude will not solve all the problems in the world, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
