Katie Racicot

hi. I'm katie, but I prefer kate. i like puzzles, laughs, and getting lost in my thoughts. i love to run and i also love practicing yoga. im sarcastic, a little too sassy, humble, honest, and enthusiastic. im a natural born leader who likes control but understands when to follow. i appreciate the beauty in any nice day. i have the two best parents in the world and i seriously mean that. amongst the million things that they have blessed me with, my two older sisters would by far be their greatest kindness to me. having grown up in a small town, it certainly has fueled my passion of travel. im still not sure how but in my short 20 years ive had the pleasure of traveling to 14 different countries. time and time again my love for travel has reinforced my second passion: people. observing them, interacting with them, figuring them out, whatever it is i love it. my mom always taught me that we all walk different paths in life and everyone learns, sees, and thinks of things differently and i think thats where it stemmed from. traveling allows you to go somewhere else, be something else, see something else, and for a moment of time you get to experience someones elses path. i have seen Versaille, ive climbed the Eiffel Tower, i came face to face with the Mona Lisa, i even got to walk the streets where Jack the Ripper wreaked havoc; but the thing that I found most interesting was the woman who owned the coffee shop in Prague that grew up with 9 brothers and sisters which taught her the life lessons to accomplish her dream, or the man from Austria who made slippers out of sheep wool that he sheared himself but everytime a dog walked by he would walk back into the tent as if he was afraid of them. Whether it be friends or strangers, my curiousity for how an individuals mind works is undeniable. i am studying abroad in Ireland next spring and i absolutely cannot wait. I plan to travel back to Czech Republic to find this tree again and take a new picture of it. i have a lot of aspirations in life. my main goal is to be indisposable to a company, i want to be so good and such an asset that its me they go to. im not sure which direction i will land in, but i am sure it will be the right one. I like to work hard and be challenged, I dont do something unless i can do it right, and I cannot change who i am regardless of who I am around. i have the desire and the tenacity to accomplish all of my goals, im going places. oh and i think im funny.
