Hi! I'm Katie Stern and my husband and I live in one of the best cities in the US - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I named this blog, and budding side business, Our Happy Place, because we realized that wherever this journey takes us, we're going to enjoy the ride together.

By day I am Director of Marketing for the AEC industry. And by night (and some weekends) I am working on DIY projects, designing invitations for special occasions and enjoying home life with my husband, sons Lucas & Toby and our two boxers - Murray & Theo.

I'm excited to share these experiences with you and the excitement of the unknown. My hope is that one day we can look back on these posts and smile about all the memories we've documented. And in the meantime, we hope you'll be inspired to laugh, learn, talk with us, and enjoy the journey.
