Katja Saarinen

I have a Masters Degree in Swedish and English philology, with specialization in language teaching. In my thesis I focused on peer mentoring - how it helps university students with a major in languages to achieve their career goals as they make the transition from university to working life.

I work as a property maintenance assistant in the second largest student housing foundation in Finland, with 6300 apartments and 10 000 tenants.

I seek to pursue a career in the commercial field as a salesperson, secretary or equivalent. The acquired teaching and communication skills can be utilized in many fields, to promote life long learning and both personnel and customer satisfaction.

I am keen on organizing, planning, keeping things up to date and passionate about customer service and international communication. Employee wellness and job satisfaction are topics that I actively follow. At home I have a golden retriever, who plays an active role as a therapist and a personal trainer. Yoga, working at the gym, cross fit, swimming in the hole in the ice and nature walks keep me balanced throughout the year.
