Creating art is a lot like breathing – it just has to be done! I was challenged at an early age to create art and the euphoria of creating has stayed with me for over 50 years.
Jewelry is a process of knowing techniques, designing and the ability to know your market and esthetic values.
Sculpture is all of the above on a large scale. Many have commented on my sculpture as large scale jewelry, for I use many of the techniques I’ve learned in jewelry making for my sculpture.
Sculpture has been a natural progression in training and learning to have fun.
I started teaching at Sierra College in Rocklin California, about 10 years ago, and love the involvement and dedication of students.
