I'm an artist, writer, and crafter working across disciplines to explore environmental and social issues through traditional craft techniques. My artwork, writing, and designs have appeared in various galleries, magazines, theaters, craft fairs, and alternative art venues. I've received artist awards from the Vermont Studio Center, Zellerbach Family Foundation, Puffin Foundation, Creative Capacity Fund and my blog won the Country Living Blue Ribbon Blogger Award. I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College where I trained and taught in the Book Arts Studio. Originally from a small town in Upstate New York I currently live in Oakland, CA with my husband, son, and urban garden.
