In a difficult situation, honesty is always best right? Well, that being said, I'm new to blogging or anything of the sort. I have a love for reading and an otherwise small [read: close-to-non-existent] circle of people to share my reading opinions with.

I am a twenty-something mother of two working on obtaining a bachelor's degree. That is, when I'm not trying to keep the dog out of stuff...or maybe that's my four year old, I'm not sure.

The turning point in my reading career was fall of last year, as my father-in-law kindly gave me free reign of his collection of books. Then at Christmas when my lovely husband gave me perhaps the most well thought-out and best timed gift - a Kindle Paperwhite. Little did he know (and much to his surprise? disappointment? chagrin?) that, aside from our new baby, it would be the most held thing in our household. I love it. Originally kindled by my dad, I have always had a love of reading...though now it is probably borderline dramatic. As in, its 3am...but I'm so close to the end! dramatic. I have a bad habit of finishing books in one sit down, though I hope that this will give me enough material to create a sufficient blog with.

Aside from wanting to share my thoughts, feelings, and reviews regarding material I have read, I'm not sure what else I hope this to turn into. If you have stumbled upon my fledgling blog here, such an attempt as it is, please leave comments regarding its content, or perhaps just share a thought, feeling, or review regarding material you have read or that we have in common.

While on the honesty note, you can probably expect to find random blurbs thrown in on completely irrelevant, but no less intriguing (to me, at the time) topics. Most notably of which is sure to be my children's, or husband's, antics, or movies, TV shows, and the like. I'm not scatterbrained per-se, but have the habit, albeit unfortunate, of saying whatever crosses my mind with little-to-no forethought prior to casting it out into the world. At least blogging has an edit option.
