Katya Szewczuk

Katya Szewczuk is the Personal Assistant, Marketer and Apprentice to Award-Winning Children's Book Author Dr.Anthony L Manna. She graduated in 2012 from Heritage Home-School Academy and was provided with a syllabus that prepared her for future BA and MFA Programs. She was given high honors for English and Literature and continued studying the art after graduating.

A New Jersey based resident she also took many English and Comparative Literature Online Courses provided by The Great Courses (lectures given by Professor Brooks Landon and Dr. John McWhorter), The Borough of Manhattan Community College where she studied Cinematography and Literature and finally Hillsdale College where she focused on American History. She was given educational advice from her past mentor Professor John Doorley, (co-author of 'Rethinking Reputation') of NYU who also taught her the art of a book proposal.

Katya has also taken many Writing Workshops provided by Writer's Digest University and has been an avid student of Religious Studies. From 2010-Present she has mastered the art of Cinematography and has crafted many projects with the use of "professional" Video Editing software. She advertised and marketed a few small projects from a doll shop to an artist's portfolio.

For several years Katya has also been a Freelance Writer, Editor and Journalist for New Jersey based publishers Renna Media and became the lead biographer for a member of the Knights of Columbus in the summer of 2014. She has also worked part-time as a computer teacher, resume/cover-letter director for local students.

In 2013 she completed her first novel that focused on Literary Fiction. However, come early 2014 she found her niche as a Young Readers/Young Adult author and has followed that genre ever since.
