Katy Love

Over the years, I've dished herring to sea lions, hot dogs to suburbanites, and wicker furniture to the rich and famous in the Hamptons. But it was a summer spent mashing and scrutinizing whale blubber for traces of PCBs that convinced me that, despite my love for sciences like marine biology, my real passion lies in science communication. Now I'm part of the online communications team at the Union of Concerned Scientists and love that I get paid to pursue my lifelong interests in science, communications, the environment, and online technology. When not glued to my computer, I'm usually found curled up with a book or attempting to complete one of a half-dozen partially finished craft projects...so I can start a new one.
