Kavindu Ravishan

Kavindu Ravishan is an EU Project Researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the Center for Ubiquitous Computing - Future Computing research unit. He received his MSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2024 from the University of Oulu, and his BSc degree in Telecommunications from Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia) in 2022.

Before his current role, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Crowd Computing research unit at the Center for Ubiquitous Computing. His research background covers in computer science and telecommunications with expertise in AI Agents, Social Humanoid Robots, Human Cognition, and UI/UX design.

Currently, he is contributing to the EU-funded project. This project aims to design and implement an intelligent Question Answering (Q&A) bot that utilizes a vector-based retrieval system for efficient and context-aware querying of climate change data and climate policies.
