Kavi Ohri

I am first and foremost a music fan and truly believe that music unifies and brings people together. I have made a career out of helping artists, songwriters, musicians and bands fulfill their dreams and making sure that the rest of us are lucky enough to experience their talent and creativity. Over the last 20 years, I have focused my energies in the area of A&R, Live Music, Music Supervision and Digital Music Licensing.

I was lucky enough to have commissioned two Grammy-Nominated remixes (for N.E.R.D. and Iggy Pop) while I was at Virgin Records and I have enjoyed connecting unsigned talent to new opportunities over the years. Currently, I work at BMI, the world's leading Performance Rights Organization (PRO) in Digital Licensing.

I was born and raised in Singapore before the internet age and became adept at identifying emerging musical trends through imported magazines, shortwave radio, traded mix-tapes, vinyl records and older siblings with great taste in music. Manhattan, NY is home these days.
