Well, hello there! I see you found me. I'm guessing that means you want to know a little bit about me, am I right? Let's start with the basics then. I am a nineteen year-old college sophomore at Colorado State University and am planning to major in English with a double concentration in Literature and English Education. My current goal is to go into teaching.
My hobbies include writing, dancing, and running. I am currently training for 5K's but hope to be running half marathons in the next few years. I have had my fair share of life-changing experiences and feel that I would not be who I am today without them. I am also a strong advocate of ADHD/LD awareness. I have ADHD and have refused to let it define me. I fight my ADHD every single day and have become that much stronger because of it.
My dad walked out the summer before my senior year of high school, and I am honestly thankful. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad, but if he hadn't left I wouldn't have had to step up and take the responsibility of staying strong and helping my mom through it. I would not know just how strong I can be when it is necessary if he hadn't left.
I believe that everything in this world happens for a reason, and that reason is to shape us into the person we are supposed to be. My experiences are ones that many people would not have fought through. They would have just gave up and said they were done instead of fighting to make it through and reach the other side of that mountain. I will never do that. I will always fight for what I believe in and for who I am. I will fight for those who have given up and for those who look up to me to be a role model. This is who I am. Yes, I have some issues, but those issues are what made me who I am. And I am proud of the woman I have become.
