My name is Kay and I am a junior at Simpson College. My two majors are Political Science and International Relations, and I have a minor in Art History. Headbands of Hope is important to me because I want to show little girls that no matter what, they are beautiful. Even without their hair. I have been in other student orgs (Yay Dance Marathon!) that are focused on pediatric cancer. These kiddos never cease to amaze me with how strong spirited and brave they are. I believe we owe it to them to provide a silver lining in a world that can be so scary. Being a Student Ambassador for Headbands of Hope is something like a dream opportunity for me. I am also involved in my college's Dance Marathon and am currently on leadership planning our first ever big event (Woohoo!) Helping children with cancer is something that I am very passionate about, and this organization helps me know that I am making a difference.
