Resume I Portfolio

I grew up under the historic live oak trees and southern charm of Mobile, Alabama where I often passed the clock to the right as I frequented a coffee shop nearby. The Rotary Club's mantra 'Service Above Self' is one I have also adopted and hope to bring to fruition in my professional and personal life. My career aspirations led me to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and in December I will be the first in my family to graduate with a degree. I hope to relocate to Atlanta to seek professional opportunities that require a well-developed skill set, creativity, and passion.

I have work experience in several areas, the most rewarding of which being within the Development and Alumni Relations office at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have gained considerable insight and interest in the planning, promotion, and execution of programs to achieve objectives and cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, faculty and students. Additionally, I have garnered significant fundraising, event coordination and volunteer management skills as a campaign assistant for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My academic and professional experience is further outlined in my resume.

My public relations degree and work with the College of Arts and Sciences have strengthened my skill set and served as affirmation that higher education development is the field I want to pursue not only as a profession but also as a passion.
