Kayla Pulvermacher
Mandan, North Dakota
Born and raised in northwest North Dakota, Kayla learned about agriculture the best way--she lived it. Her family operates a farm and ranch near Ambrose, North Dakota; it is there that she learned the difference between peas and lentils, and the importance of telling the story of the state's producers.
After graduating with a degree in Political Science from North Dakota State, Kayla went on to become a Lobbyist for the North Dakota Farmers Union, the states largest ag organization for 6 years. A brief stint away led her to North Dakota United (formerly North Dakota Education Association) where she led the state's teacher's union government affairs program. Kayla is now back with NDFU as their Director of Member Advocacy, where she manages the organizations member advocacy efforts.
In her free time, Kayla is an active alumna of her sorority, Sigma Alpha, a member of the Bismarck/Mandan League of Women Voters, and enjoys spending time with her boys Jack (6) and Ty (4).
