Student and Small Business Owner in California
Hey class! My name is Kaylah Frazier, but I go by Kay or just Kaylah. I am 18 years old. I am a second semester freshman at Paul Quinn. I used to be a full time on campus student last semester but I moved back to California where I am from. As of right now. I’m currently working at Ace Hardware warehouse. This is my second warehouse job and I absolutely love it, way better than working in retail in my opinion. I like to do DIYs and design things for my room or just around the house, so those are my hobbies along with listening to music and being on Pinterest 25/8. My educational goals are to pass all of my classes this semester and to not let anyone or anything distract me from my school work. My short term professional goals is to get my my eyelash business up and running this year. My long term goals is to create and own a home decor business that helps low income families live in a home that they love that’s new and improved. I also want to have a non profit that helps the insecurities of African American girls called “Luv My Melanin” this non profit will offer workshops to uplifting bring confidence to young girls of color. My family goals would be just to continue to love my family and be there for them. Also to do what’s right for me and to not let my family wants determine what path my life might take. I want to Improve my writing skills from this course and the way I interpret certain materials. I believe that I can bring my social justice lens to this course. I am very excited to be apart of this course and anxious to see what material we will discover this semester.
