Kaylah Chisholm

Hello, my name is Kaylah Chisholm. I am a student at Bergen Community College in my sophomore year finishing my third semester. My major is liberal arts but eventually I plan on becoming a buisness major. After I receive my associates, I will go on to a four year college, preferably a historically black college/university. During my time at Bergen I have been able to observe and work on my strengths (individualization, futuristic, developer, restorative and strategic) by being apart of many clubs, having leadership roles and completing volunteer work. Clubs that I am a member of are D.I.V.A Girl (women empowerment), PASALOUBONG (Filipino American student association) and African Student Union. I also have leadership roles which include being Secretary of Caribbean Club and President of Black Student Union. Being apart of clubs has also allowed me to do volunteer work. For literature month Caribbean club read to the children here at BCC's Children development center. I have also volunteered and received certificates for sex trafficking and consent workshops. These leadership roles, clubs, volunteering and my strengths have allowed me the opportunity to network, build my portfolio and most importantly leave my legacy at Bergen.
