Hello, my name is Kayla.
I am a music marketing specialist, writer, and musician living in Eugene, Oregon.
As a student at the University of Oregon, I am studying Journalism and Political. In April of 2024, I defended my thesis dissertation written on the dominance of hegemonic patriarchy in the rock and roll industry.
On Fridays from 12-2pm, I host a weekly radio show called the “Road to Nowhere” where I play classic rock b-sides.
I play guitar for GrrlBand, an all-female five-piece rock outfit.
When I have free time, I enjoy collecting records, writing, and making friends.
