Kayla Oliver, M.A.

Longwood, FL

Kayla Oliver is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the state of Florida and currently works for Discovery Counseling of Orlando in Longwood, FL. She earned her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Play Therapy from the University of Central Florida and is a proud UCF Knight, having earned her Bachelors in Psychology also at UCF.

Kayla has worked in a variety of settings, including an outpatient clinic, a residential treatment center for adolescents, and a community mental health agency providing in-home and in-school services. Kayla enjoys working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families to address many of life’s concerns including anxiety, depression, relational issues, trauma recovery, and personal growth. In addition, Kayla has a special interest in adoption and has completed the 7-week Adoption Competency Training course offered by Devereux Florida. Kayla looks forward to providing adoption competent counseling and support to families both pre- and post-adoption.

Kayla approaches others with compassion and seeks to cultivate hope and strengthen individuals and families to navigate the tensions of life. She values the pursuit of wellness, creativity, and lifelong learning in her own life and seeks to inspire these pursuits in others.

Kayla and her husband live in Florida and enjoy serving in their church, spending quality time with their family and friends, and traveling to new places. In her spare time, Kayla loves to read, write, craft, and cook.
