Kayla Punt

Hi! My name is Kayla and I investigate the line between truth and verisimilitude. Welcome to my personal blog: a vessel of sea-barring journeys complete with Loch Ness monsters, angry ocean-gods and a not-so-much damsel in distress. I’m here to spark creativity, to urge the contrary and to inspire those who crave inspiration.
I’m a nineteen-year-old English, Spanish and Secondary Education major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I’ve lived in Omaha, Nebraska for most of my life, so living a mere 50 minutes away in Lincoln isn’t too bad—I get to see my Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier every month or so. And my family too, of course. College itself, however, is a huge change for me. It’s a slightly less Romantic fairy tale of cramming for calculus tests, concocting society-changing final projects, and almost dying during dead week.
The aim of this blog is simple: to connect with people like me. I’m going to write about all things literature—from reviews of fantastic television series I just binge-watched on Netflix, to in-depth analysis of the classics—and other relevant goings-on in my life. This is a thought-provoking blog. This is a “looking for inspiration? Well, you’ve found it” blog. This is a sit-down-and-grab-a-cuppa-joe blog. So grab a seat and start browsing, because maybe you’re like me, and you believe that there’s nothing better than a spark of imagination, than a fictitious rendering of life as we know it.

Welcome

to Fictitious at Best.
