I am extremely passionate about philanthropy. I was an avid volunteer at my church and in my hometown community during my high school years. The Jerrod Eggymeyer Foundation presented me with the 2011 Servants Heart Scholarship for my community involvement.
During my two years at Midland College I held the position of Service Leader in the club Students in Philanthropy (SIP). In this group I gained experience fundraising and reviewing grants from local nonprofits. My job was to arrange volunteer opportunities for SIP members to participate in.
I am a senior in the College of Media and Communications at Texas Tech University. I am majoring in Public Relations with an anticipated graduation date of May 2016. Recently, I started interning at Razonia McClellan Public Relations where I am gaining experience working with multiple clients and promoting their business and/or services. Last semester I interned at Family Guidance and Outreach Center of Lubbock handling their social media and promoting their biggest fundraiser, the Blue Ribbon Rally.
