I'm a film composer and orchestrator based in Chicago and the founder of Kayquarii Productions, a Source Connect Pro–certified post-sound facility. For more than fifteen years I've written original scores for independent film, documentaries, web series, and commercial work.

In 2019 I was selected for the New Orleans Film Society's Film Music Initiative for composers.

My mother bought me my first instrument as a Christmas gift when I was five. By my early twenties I'd learned seven. That range still shapes how I write—my palette moves between Latin and fusion jazz, gospel, hip hop, world percussion, 90s alternative, and Romantic-era orchestral writing. I orchestrate and mix my own scores and deliver them in Pro Tools & Cubase Pro stems.

What I care about most is what music does for a story. A score isn't decoration laid over a scene; it's a member of the cast, carrying what the picture leaves unsaid.

I stay active in Chicago's film and music community—panels with the Sundance Institute (2024) and the Chicago International Film Festival (2020), the Black Harvest Film Festival planning committee, and the Jazz Institute of Chicago's Gala Planning Committee. I've guest lectured at the Logan Center for the Arts and Loyola University Chicago.

Member: Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL), BMI, the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing, G.A.N.G., and E.A.R.S.
