Hi. I'm Kaytlyn, Resident Experience Creator. It's a pleasure to meet you.
GETTING PERSONAL.
Growing up, my family grew their own veggies, sewed their own clothes, used pottery dinnerware, watched PBS, and listened to NPR and classical music. Following a childhood filled with science, art and the outdoors, I fell in love with photography, which in turn launched a passion for Photoshop and a new medium called "the Web."
When several years back my father died in a career he never felt passionate about, waiting for the “someday” that never came, I made it my life’s mission to help people discover and live their entrepreneurial dreams. My message: there’s always a way to create the life you love.
My family traditions remain. These days, I donate to micro loan program Kiva, support marriage equality, volunteer as a forest steward at my neighborhood park, purchase green energy for my home and office, am Green America Certified Gold, buy organic whenever possible, and maintain a paperless business. Most important, I’m showing my son a similar way of growing up.
SHOP TALK.
After graduating with a degree in Web Design and Interactive Media, I worked for a variety of companies from tech startups to print and photography studios in a management capacity. Since launching my own business in 2005, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, including award-winning bloggers, event producers, artists, retailers, authors and wellness providers. When they were ready to grow their audience from hundreds of readers to hundreds of thousands, they found me. It's been an honor to work with them all.
I value quality over quantity, substance over hype, and timelessness over trends. I take the time to get it right while still maintaining efficiency. I’m an information junkie, absorbing articles, podcasts, workshops and blog posts, especially seeking stories about women who create massive shifts in business and online behavior. I then apply this knowledge in ways that hugely benefit my clients.
WHAT I WANT FOR YOU.
Owning a business doesn't mean pulling 80-hour work weeks to avoid working 40 hours for someone else. Instead, it’s a celebration of control over your day-to-day life as you choose when you work, who you work with, and what amazing new things you will create.
I love my work and I want others to be able to say that, too.
