Kayla Bergeron is a seasoned crisis communications, public affairs, media and campaign strategist with more than 16 years of experience holding executive level leadership positions.
Ms. Bergeron understands the importance of strong employee relations, customer service commitment and leveraging diverse stakeholders to create effective partnerships. Her experience has been based in the New York region for high profile organizations, including serving as chief of government and public affairs for The Port Authority of New and New Jersey for 8 years, the country’s largest transportation agency.
One of her biggest strengths is managing crisis communications, making careful, rapid decisions as proven in her work when responding to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 (and after she narrowly escaped). Ms. Bergeron also served as media director for the South Florida Water Management District in West Palm Beach for 5 years, the lead agency restoring America’s Everglades, as well as providing water supply and flood protection for more than 7 million South Floridians. During her tenure, she was successful in managing communications of multiple projects, including emergency management incidents such as hurricanes, tropical storms, significant drought and robust H20 conservation campaign.
