Karen Chaur

Hello, I’m Karen.

I’m currently a teacher and student at Deakin University. My work is primarily with the International Baccalaureate and embedding this into the undergraduate teaching course. Working as a consultant, workshop leader and school authoriser/evaluator for the IBO has given me a great like-minded network of passionate educators. I am excited to be beginning my PhD studies and hope to contribute to the IB world by taking action in this way.

I love living in Bayside Beaumaris with my husband and adult daughters. We all believe in life-long learning so I am lucky to have a supportive team at home backing me on this journey. Fortunately I also enjoy reading, and education so I'm hoping this undertaking will remain a positive experience.

I am a fan of design and creative pursuits and embark on lengthy projects in my downtime from work and study. I’m also interested in travel and the arts. This photo was taken last year in Italy - hence the delicious Aperol in the glasses we're holding!
