Hi there!
If you're reading this that means you have stumbled upon my webpage, so you may want to know more about me. My name is Kayla Constantine and I am a junior at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before attending UMass I was a student at the University of Vermont. I transferred to UMass last spring, making this my third semester here. I'm originally from Melrose, Massachusetts, a small city seven miles north of Boston. I have two siblings: an older brother and a younger sister. I also have two dogs, two cats, a fish, and a hamster.
One thing I am greatly passionate about is the New England Patriots. When I was younger I wasn't into football. The game seemed too confusing to follow, so I never bothered to watch. Other sports like baseball were easy: you hit the ball and run to each base. Football had so much going on it was difficult to understand. It wasn't until my first year of high school that I started taking an interest in the sport. My friend had season tickets to Patriots games, so she was allowed to invite a friend to go with her. At first I was hesitant to go since I didn't know anything about football. However, after much begging and pleading on her part I caved and agreed to go.
Being in the stadium and watching the game in person was a lot more fun than watching it on a tiny TV screen. The people around you are extremely passionate about what they are watching, cheering at the successful plays and voicing their anger at the unsuccessful ones. The tailgating parties were just as exciting. Everyone around you was so friendly and amped for the game to start; the excitement was contagious. My friend explained everything to me, from the player positions on the field to what the different penalties were. It wasn't long before I understood how the game was played, and by then I was just as hooked onto the sport as she was.
I became that crazy fan that attends games in the rain, snow, or cold. Not only did I attend home games but I began watching away games on TV. I developed favorite players on the Patriots team and players I hated on rival teams. I had my heart broken in 2007 and 2011 when we didn't manage to win the Super Bowl. I've become the crazy football fan that yells at the TV after every play; my roommates always know when a Patriots game is on. I’m hopeful that next year will be the season the Patriots win their fourth Super Bowl title, and the Pats wi
