Currently on placement as TC operations Coordinator for Screwfix

In my role as TC operations Coordinator for Screwfix I take an active role as a team member that represents over 413 Trade Counters and counting on a day to day basis.

I work collaboratively with all functions across the business providing real time support for approx. 6,000 colleagues across 400 stores, whilst also maintaining daily communication updates regarding process and procedures.

The ethos we aim to achieve is to keep it simple and predominantly 99% of time this lead us to getting the service we offer right.

Being self motivated and with the aim of achieving self actualization, I have always tried to achieve the best for myself in whichever stage of life I am at.

One of the key balances many get wrong is balancing; education, work experience and the social aspect of life being sport, exploring or just going out with your friends for a pint. However I believe going to university has giving me the opportunity to grow into an individual who has been able to balance my degree, working for Screwfix part time which has given me a vast knowledge of the retail environment which has been beneficial in succeeding in my current position with the added benefit of knowing how to have a good time when not in the workplace.

I am currently a third year student of four at Bournemouth university studying Business Studies with Operations management (BA HONS) sitting on a 2:1/ Merit.

The third year of this sandwich degree is a year out in business.
