Kim Denmark - 2013

Kim Denmark, of Dayton, Ohio began a spiritual "walk" across America for the less fortunate. After a series of convictions from the Lord, Denmark openly states, "I was really arrogant and nasty, and never gave back. It was then that I experienced an epiphany with the Lord, was given a second chance at life, and now have dedicated my life to serving others”.I also feel a mandate has been placed on my life to find resources for the less fortunate and downtrodden.

By walking my goal is to dramatize the severity and dedication of my personal interest in America’s indigenous poor and working poor.Ultimately, I hope to initiate a “SPARK” in cities across the country to become more proactive about the less fortunate and to place one’s own self in their position, as it could be any of us, at any time.

Unemployment. poverty. homelessness - are the reasons Kim Denmark set out on her journey across America.

Her objective is to complete 50 states, including Alaska, and Hawaii. To date she has "walked" 16 states which include:

Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Florida clocking over 4, 466 miles, and 23 pair of shoes.

Armed with petitions from America's concerned citizens supporting her cause, her hopes are to address the United States Congress regarding the displaced. She strives to serve as a representative and a voice for the poor and to speak out about homelessness, poverty, jobs, (loss), and housing. Denmark hopes to address the new Administration, Congress and the Senate.
