Kevin Dethlefs

I'm training to be a computer engineer at the University of Nebraska. Classes take up the majority of my time and I hope to graduate and seek a position with a reputable and fun company to not only expand my knowledge of technology, but to help push technology to limits it hasn't seen before.

During the course of school I am involved with the robotics club I co-founded. We are seeking to build, expand upon our understanding of, and compete with robots. We aim to have fun doing so as well. As a leader, I try to involve everyone who wants to be involved equally and share success with my team.

For more of my personal time, I play video games. Sometimes I stream the video games on platforms like TwitchTV to build a community of like minded people. The internet has opened up so many friendships to me that I otherwise would not get, with people I would never meet in person otherwise. I've talked to and befriended people from all over the world, including the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and even here in the United States.

Professionally I work as an intern with First Data at this time. I work with a team of programmers to prototype and implement ideas that lead to technologies like Apple Pay, Google Wallet and other payment technologies. First Data is a company with considerable push in any industry, and I'm proud to help direct it to empower lives and businesses alike.
