I'm approaching that big mid life crisis this year. A time where were take stock and tackle the old bucket list. Writing has always been my first love but with 4 children ranging from 15-6 years old needless to say I haven't had much time in the past few years. I did manage to complete my first children's story last year and am in the process of editing and preparing it for e publication so that dream can finally be realised and I can start tackling the bigger project that's been living in my head for the past few years clamouring to get out.
This blog was a good way to warm up, get into the habit of writing again and get involved in an interesting community of diverse thoughts and opinions.
I'm a part time photographer, favoring babies and weddings, although I'd like to put that on the back burner a bit this year and find the fun in it again and spend more time focussing on my writing.
I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. My husband and I decided to take the leap and emmigrate to England in 1999 and we haven't looked back since.
And that is pretty much me :-)
Leave you with this quote which I spotted on http://booksjadore.wordpress.com/about/#comment-2476
You write. That’s the hard bit that nobody sees. You write on the good days and you write on the lousy days. Like a shark, you have to keep moving forward or you die. Writing may or may not be your salvation; it might or might not be your destiny. But that does not matter. What matters right now are the words, one after another. Find the next word. Write it down. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
