Keara K. James

As a first generation college graduate, Keara finds joy in ‘lifting as she climbs’. She is always willing to mentor young adults and spend time giving back to her community.

After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009 with a degree in Communications & English, she embarked upon a career in public relations. At Weber Shandwick (global public relations firm), she implemented public relations strategy on behalf of a highly renown biotechnology corporation and participated in the media efforts for two high-profile FDA oncology meetings.

In deciding that a ‘people-focused’ role would better suit her skill set, Keara joined Cushman & Wakefield’s human resources operations team in November 2011. As an HR Operations Specialist, she enjoyed working with cross-functional teams in order to achieve goals.

Additionally, Keara has explored her passion for consumer behavior through her time spent working as a certified makeup artist at the major beauty retailer, Sephora. She is a graduate of Emory University's Goizueta Business School and is excited to pursue a career in marketing and strategy in the tech industry.

Aside from her passions for mentoring, makeup and marketing, Keara is a free-spirited person. She loves to cook as if she is a culinary chef on TV, read until she falls asleep, travel as often as possible and hang out with friends & family at any moment she gets.
